Public Campaign: Join in January 2026


Join Virgin Active on a 1- or 2-year membership between 1 and 31 January 2026 (both dates inclusive) and enjoy:

• R199 Joining Fee (Red, Life Centre) / R599 (Collection)
• January on Us
 • Unlock monthly rewards by completing your Wellness Checkpoints: 20% off February, 30% off March, 75% off April


Qualifying Criteria

  1. Sign up for a new Adult 1- or 2-year membership (Club, Premier, Premier Select, Off-Peak, Youth 14–23) between 1–31 January 2026.
  2. Pay the discounted joining fee:
    • R199 at all Clubs (incl. RED)
     • R599 at Collection Clubs
  3. Complete your Wellness Goal Checkpoints to get rewarded with monthly membership savings:
    20% off February: Upload a profile photo to your membership, download the Virgin Active App, complete your first visit, remain in good standing.
    30% off March: Train 4× in February, keep the app downloaded, remain in good standing.
    75% off April: Train 4× in March, keep the app downloaded, remain in good standing.
  4. Offer includes Workplace Wellness corporate partners.


Exclusions applicable to January ’26 Public


This offer is not available to:

• Existing members or membership conversions.
• Members active within the last 30 days.
• Short-term (3-month), Club-V, Dependant, complimentary, staff, nominee, tenant, or Vitality Legacy Club memberships.
• Members joining on Vitality or Momentum Multiply benefit types, including Public-to-Vitality conversions.
• Members with arrears or disciplinary issues.
• Members changing membership types (downgrades, upgrades incl. Collection, conversions incl. Corporate).
• New joiners may not downgrade their price point (e.g., public to corporate/wellness) within 6 months. Applies from 1 August 2025.
• Club-V/Club-V Max or U14 joiners (ages 0–13).
 • New joiners at Virgin Active Country Club Collection – Point (Founder member offer applies).


Discovery Vitality Joiners (January 2026)


Activate your gym benefit and join between 1–31 January 2026 and enjoy:

• Activation fee: R799 (or less depending on club)
• Up to 75% off monthly fees
• January 2026 on us (no pro-rata)
 • Stand a chance to win one of five Premier one-year memberships + one year of Kauai Smoothies


Campaign Terms

  1. Promoters are Discovery Vitality (Pty) Ltd and Virgin Active.
  2. Participants are qualifying Vitality members taking part in the campaign.
  3. All campaign information (including promotional material) forms part of these terms.


Campaign details

  1. Valid 1–31 January 2026.
  2. Open to qualifying Vitality Premium and Vitality Active members.
  3. Vitality Active members must:
    6.1. Be primary accountholders of a qualifying Discovery Bank product.
     6.2. Have an active Vitality Money status.
  4. Pay the discounted activation fee and the club access device fee.
  5. Vitality members can receive up to 75% off monthly fees by completing required visits (36 visits in 12 months; 30+ mins per visit).
  6. Premier/Collection members receive a flat 50% discount.
  7. January 2026 is free (no pro-rata); first debit order applies to February.


Prize: Five Premier one-year memberships

  1. Winners:
    11.1. Must be 18+ and live in SA.
    11.2. Will be selected via lucky draw.
    11.3. Will be contacted by 15 February 2026.
    11.4. Receive Premier membership from March 2026–February 2027 (non-transferable).
    11.5. Collection Club members pay the difference between Premier and Collection rates (less Vitality discount).
    11.6. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash/refunds.
     11.7. Winners also receive Kauai smoothies for the same period.


Kauai smoothie reward

  1.  

12.1. One smoothie per week at in-club Kauai stores only.
12.2. Redeemed via weekly QR code in the Virgin Active Rewards App.
12.3. Unused codes expire weekly and do not carry over.
12.4. Not redeemable at Nü or external Kauai stores.
12.5. Not transferable and not redeemable for cash.
12.6. Applies to small/regular smoothies only (excludes Protein smoothies).
12.7. Kauai is not liable for non-redemption due to expiry or system outages.
 12.8. Menu options vary by store.


General Conditions

  1. Valid for new members only at Virgin Active South Africa.
  2. Vitality + Virgin Active membership must be active and authorised in January 2026.
  3. No multiple new-joiner benefits within your initial 12- or 24-month contract.
  4. Cancelling within cooling-off or commitment periods forfeits rewards.
  5. Rewards apply only while your account is in good standing.
  6. Offers cannot be exchanged for cash/refunds.
  7. Facilities vary by club.
  8. Members are responsible for their own tax advice.
  9. Rewards cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated.
  10. All benefits apply only if these terms are accepted and met.


Exclusions

This campaign is not available to:

  1. Existing members or conversions.
  2. Members active in the last 30 days.
  3. Members with arrears or disciplinary issues.
  4. Anyone under 18.
  5. Anyone not residing in South Africa.
  6. Chance to win, excludes Classic and Classic Collection Club new joiners. 


Additional terms

  1. Promoters may amend or cancel campaign rules; participants waive claims arising from such changes as permitted by law.
  1. Changes will be communicated beforehand or as soon as reasonably possible.
  2. Campaign may be terminated without notice if required by law; participants waive related claims.
  3. Promoters are not responsible for errors in promotional material.
  4. Any rule violation results in disqualification.
  5. Participation confirms acceptance of these terms.
  6. Virgin Active Post-2010 Benefit Guide applies.
  7. Vitality Main Rules (and Ancillary Programme Rules) apply.

U14, Club-V, and Club-V Max Offers

Join between 1–31 January 2026 and receive:

• No joining, access-device, or January pro-rata fees
• One complimentary swim lesson at participating Clubs
• Offer available to corporate & wellness partners
 • Complimentary lesson must be completed within one month of joining


Club-V Complimentary Visits (Bring Your Child)

Between 1–31 January 2026, parents/legal guardians may bring children for two free visits.

Conditions:

• Children: 6 weeks–13 years (Club-V: up to 9 years; Club-V Max: up to 13 years).
• Parents/guardians do not need to be Virgin Active members.
• On arrival, parents must:
– Complete guest register + disclaimer
– Present ID/driver’s licence + proof of guardianship
– Sign children in at Club-V
 • Existing members must complete a child disclaimer for each visit.


Complimentary Swim Lesson (All New Joiners)

• Available to all new January 2026 joiners (adult or child).
• Conducted by the resident Swim Coach at participating Clubs.
• Lesson lasts 20–30 minutes and includes a short in-pool session.
• Must be booked and completed within one month of joining.
 • The coach will contact you to arrange the session.
