Dear Virgin Active Member,
Whether you're celebrating a personal best, tracking your transformation, or checking your technique, we're all for it. Capturing your fitness journey can be a great way to stay motivated and see how far you've come.
To help everyone enjoy their time in club, we've put together a few simple tips for taking photos and videos while you train.
Where You Can Film or Take Photos
Photography and filming are welcome in designated workout areas, including:
- Gym floor areas
- Functional training spaces
- Strength and cardio zones
- Other approved training areas within the club
When recording, please be aware of your surroundings and try to keep pathways and equipment clear so everyone can train comfortably.
Areas Where Filming and Photography Aren't Allowed
For the comfort and wellbeing of all members, photography and filming aren't permitted in:
- Swimming pool areas
- Change rooms
- Bathrooms and shower facilities
- Children's facilities
- Any area where children may be present
Be Mindful of Others Around You
Our clubs are shared spaces, and a little consideration goes a long way.
When taking photos or videos:
- Try to keep the focus on yourself and your workout.
- Take a quick look at what's happening in the background before recording.
- Adjust your angle if other members move into your shot.
- Be considerate of those who may prefer not to appear in photos or videos.
- Position phones, tripods and other equipment safely and out of the way.
After all, the star of the content is your progress!
To ensure all members can enjoy their training experience, the following requirements apply when taking photos or recording videos in club:
- Recording must take place in quieter areas where it does not interfere with other members' workouts.
- Recording sessions must be kept brief and limited to the time needed to capture the content.
- Camera angles must be positioned to focus only on your own workout, movement, or technique.
- Members planning extended recording sessions must visit during quieter periods and ensure their activity does not impact the experience of others.
- If requested by club staff to reposition, shorten, or stop a recording session, members must comply immediately.
Failure to follow these requirements may result in members being asked to stop filming or photography, reposition their equipment, or discontinue recording within the club.
Thanks for Helping Us Keep Your Club a Great Place to Train
We love seeing you celebrate your achievements. By being mindful of those around you, you're helping create a positive and enjoyable club experience.
Train hard. Capture your progress. Enjoy the journey.
