Qualifying Criteria for discount

To qualify for the 50% discount in December and January:

Sign up for a new Adult 1-year or 2-year membership (Club, Premier, Premier Select, Off-Peak, or Youth 14–23) between 24–30 November 2025.
Pay a discounted joining fee:
- R199 at all Clubs (including RED)
- R599 at Collection Clubs
Download the Virgin Active Rewards App by 10 December 2025.
Train at least 4 times on separate days in December 2025.
Your membership must be in good standing (no arrears) at the time of the January 2026 debit-order run.

The table below shows the member’s selected preferred debit order (DO) date. To qualify for the January 50% discount, the training window will start 30 days before the cut-off date or on the member’s join date if they joined less than 30 days prior.

If the 4-training-session requirement in December is not met, or the Virgin Active App is not downloaded by 10 December 2025, the 50% discount for January 2026 will not apply; however, the 2026 price lock will remain in place.

General Conditions applicable to November ’25 Public and Vitality Offer

Public Offer: Valid for new members only at Virgin Active Clubs in South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana.

Vitality Offer: Valid for new members only at Virgin Active Clubs in South Africa.

Membership must be active and authorised in November 2025.

No multiple campaign benefits: members may not participate in more than one new-joiner campaign within their initial 12- or 24-month period.

Members must not cancel within their cooling-off or initial commitment period to retain the discount.

Discounts apply only while your account is in good standing.

Offers cannot be exchanged for cash, refunds, or rebates.

Club facilities and class offerings vary by location.

Youth members who join in November will keep their 2025 rate through 2026 while eligible for their membership type. On their birthday, the applicable 2026 rate for their new age category will automatically apply.

Your quoted 2025 rate remains applicable in 2026, no price increase is applied unless upgrading, downgrading or your club has a revamp during this time in which case the members price point will go up to the current rate for that membership type.

If a member freezes their membership from 1 December 2025, discounted months will not apply and when coming out of freeze state, the rate lock will apply to membership fees remaining in 2026 only.

Public Offer: Join in November 2025

Offer Period and Limited Vouchers
This offer is valid to new members who join Virgin Active South Africa on any public membership between 24 November 2025 and 30 November 2025 (both dates inclusive), and whilst vouchers are available. Virgin Active management will inform the sales team to stop promoting the Takealot voucher when stocks are depleted.
Inclusions
All November Offer Qualifying members will receive the following:
• Discounted joining fee;
• November 2025 free (no pro-rata fees apply);
• 50% off membership fees for December 2025 and January 2026;
• No membership fee increases during 2026 (your 2025 rate is held throughout 2026);
• Full Premier access for December 2025 (Collection Clubs excluded);
Members joining in November on the Black Friday offer also qualify for:
- A R500 Takealot voucher, subject to the voucher terms in this document.
Takealot Voucher Qualification & Issuing

To qualify, members must:
• Join within the stated offer period;
• Sign up for a new Adult 1-year or 2-year membership (Club, Premier, Premier Select, Off-Peak, or Youth 14–23) between 24–30 November 2025.
• Train 3 time and download the app between 24th of November and the 15th of December 2025.
• Select your debit order as either the 1st or the 15th of December 2025.
• Ensure that their first successful debit order in December 2025 is paid in full; hold an account in good standing at the time of voucher issuance.
• Voucher code issuance will occur after the 15th of December 2025 via the Virgin Active App only.
• Members who join as cash-paying members will receive their voucher in the same batch cycle as debit-order members (no immediate issue).
• Only one voucher is issued per qualifying membership.
• The voucher is not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be substituted.
Voucher Redemption Terms (Takealot)
•Voucher is redeemable only on the Takealot platform.
• Voucher is valid for 6 months from date of issue.
• No minimum purchase is required.
• Partial payment: If the voucher does not cover the full purchase amount, the balance can be paid using any other payment method accepted by Takealot.
• Full payment: If the voucher covers the full purchase amount, no additional payment is required.
• If the voucher value exceeds the purchase amount, the remaining balance will be automatically credited to the member’s Takealot account for future use.
General Conditions
• A cap on total voucher availability may apply at Virgin Active’s discretion, subject to stock and budget limits.
• Offer applies only to new joiners and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion unless otherwise specified.
• Virgin Active reserves the right to amend or withdraw the offer at any time without prior notice, provided such changes do not materially affect members who have already qualified.
Exclusions applicable to November ’25 Black Friday Offer

This offer is not available to:

Existing members or membership conversions of any kind.

Members who were active within the last 30 days.

Virgin Active Point members (separate offer applies).

Short-term (3-month), Club-V, Dependant, complimentary, Vitality Legacy Club, staff, nominee, or tenant memberships.

Members with unsettled arrears or disciplinary issues.

Members downgrading, upgrading or converting to any other membership type (including Corporate Conversions and Upgrades to Collection).

Members Joining on a Vitality or Public to Vitality Membership Type.

New members may not downgrade their membership price point (e.g., move from a public to a corporate or wellness membership) within the first 6 months of joining. This exclusion applies from 1 August 2025.

Joiners on Club-V/Club-V Max or U14 products (0 – 7 and 8 – 13 years) are excluded from these offers.
